I have also had Irritable Bowl syndrome for about 15 years. My perscription for handling the symtoms may seem too simple but they work for me. I take a vegetable laxative every morning with my breakfast, I eat a lot of raw fruit and when I have a bad attack I take Bentyl or Levbid to relax the colon muscles. Of course, try to avoid things that stress you if at all possible or should I say don't let the Turkeys in the world get you down. Hope this helps.
