I have been gifted with spastic colon and crohns disease. There has been some mention of Irritable bowel as well. Whatever the doctors decide, I learned long ago that my health is mostly in my own hands with the help of medicine. As the tests usually make me sicker than the conditions I like to stay on top of my system. When you mentioned stress I had to speak up. I don't know what part of my ailments react to stress but I do know that stress is a major factor. I urge you to seek out the stress factors in your life and find ways to live with them or eliminate them. It is important not to lose touch with how you are feeling "inside your emotions" Things that may seem stressful to others are great for me (ie work stress) however if my family is turbulant my health takes a major dive downward. In the earlier stages it was immediate. Again, I don't know what part causes it but I've landed in the hospital with attacks that in my opinion started with my personal stress. Since the beginning I have learned to deal with things differently, although it has not cured me by far, it's something I can do myself, for myself. If anyone tells you that you are doing this to yourself, making yourself sick - don't sweat it because your system just works differently than others, I believe mine internalizes pain. If it can do that then it can aid in fighting the natural course. I hope this gives you some insight of what to move towards.
