Hi Janell: I have had 4 pneumothoraxes, 3 on the right & 1 on the left. I had a chest x-ray to check the fluid in my right lung on a Friday. The left side was fine at that time. The very next day my left lung collapsed. I had surgery & they put some kind of acid in my lung to cause scarring for strength. I have staples in my right lung. My tube also became clogged at one point & the pain was horrible. I was 30 & 32 years old at the time of my collapses. The last was 4 years ago. As I type this I believe that I may be collapsed. I am hoping it is due to the extreme heat & humidity at this time. I have also developed asthma since all this. do you have any problems like that since your pneumothorax? It is interesting to find some othter people that have this same problem. I was also told my a doctor that endometrial deposits can go to your lungs from your uterus. I am endometriosis so this may make some sense. Have you ever heard of this?
