I'm surprised your doctor who diagnosed your lupus didn't explain what it is. As I know from reading, lupus is an auto-immune disease where the body attacks itself causing many problems. My cousin has it and so do several others I know. It affects mostly women. There is a drug called Aslera which is being reviewed by the FDA and is the first drug in 40 years for lupus. It is not a cure but it has worked in clinical trials. Approval if given should be decided by July of this year. Hope it is approved since there is almost nothing else that seems to work.
