My husband is 40 years old and has been diagnosed with stage 3 tongue cancer. The cancer tumor is rather large and extends past the midpoint of the tongue so surgery to remove it would result in a total glossectomy. We rejected that option and decided to do chemotherapy and radiation. He has just finished the prescribed therapy and is waiting for a date of radiation implants. If anyone has been through this please share your experience with us.
