My dear Sharon, I am a male who was active and healthy when I retired. Three months later I came down with Polymyalgia. That was 10 yrs. ago. Keep the faith you are in for a learning experience. I went from totally debilited to almost normal again, but it took a great deal of hope and understanding from loved ones and friends. It won't be easy, but You can learn to deal with it.
