Hi! Laura I am now experiencing the same bleeding. Let me tell you that this is first time that I have experienced this type of bleeding. It started Monday 1/29/01 and it has not ended yet, and today is 1/31/01. I went to the emergency room yesterday because I was so worried. I had gotten a sonogram both external and internal. the internal sonogram is when they insert a tube into your vagina to get a better look for a sis or fibroid tumors and etc... the doctor also examinined my pelvic just to make sure my uterus was intact. Laura I still am not satisfied, I can feel that something else could be possibly wrong with me. I have normal periods just like you, no children, and I have never been pregnant. I am going to see another GYN to get a second opinoin, the first doctors told me that my bleeding can be both hormonial and the lining in my uterus maybe shedding. I don't know, by reading other messages I may need a D&C or a Laperoscopy, I don't know Good luck write back and let me know how you made out
