My mother has a severe case of acid reflux for about 7 months now. She has been in and out of hospitals since it started. She takes Prilosec everyday, and has tried many other medications. She is currently in the hospital right now (that is where I spent my Christmas). Does anyone have any ideas on what she should do. She has lost 42 pounds in 7 months because she had to change her diet. What are the doctors missing?
