Hi: I have piraformis syndrome and have suffered from it for over a year. I did alot of research on it and found an article which talked about a doctor removing the piraformis muscle surgically and it was about 90% effective. I called that doctor and spoke to his nurse. I believe the article was written several years ago. Since then, his nurse said it was only 40% effective. Not very good odds. I am now looking into a procedure called Botox Therapy. I don't know enough about it yet to explain but I think I found a Neurologist who does it. I saw a note posted from someone who had the procedure done and said it lasted for 2 years.
