My 24 month old daughter, Elizabeth, was just diagnosed with congenital scoliosis right before x-mas. She has a wedge shaped verebrae with a 45 degree curve. We were told she needed surgery where they would fuse a couple of the verebrae together. The Dr. said he would not do excision because it was too risky. He also said he would need to go in through the front and back which could take up to 10 hours. She also would need to be in a body cast for 4 months. My husband and I are researching like crazy.
