Please check the web under National Cancer Institute and look up information on pediatric and adult Hodgkin's disease. NCI will give you the treatments used for each stage of the disease and the outlook for the future. This will get you correct information and help alleviate your confusion. I had stage iiA Hodgkins, and I have been disease-free for 26 years. There is always hope. A positive mental attitude along with a good oncologist to discuss your questions with will help calm you and will also help your brother. Good luck.
