Dealing with Tinnitus

Lee

Message 2 of 6 Previous Next

I'm almost 40 and have had Tinnitus off and on through the years. I found it's mostly related to my sinus'/allergies -- NUMBER 1 cause is taking too much aspirin, causes restriction of blood vessels in ear and causes 'ringing.' What has helped me is someone blowing warm air in my ear -- I'm NOT kidding, it's my grandfather's remedy, if you have a 'close' friend that smokes its actually the most helpful, have them blow a puff in your ear slowly. If the smoke isn't available, have someone drink a hot drink (coffee, etc.which will warm their mouth) and have them blow gently in your ear. It has something to do with warming the inner ear which allows the blood vessels to expand and the ringing will almostly immediately stop. Hope this helps!
