my sister has been in the hospital for almost 4 weeks now. At first they didnt know what it was, but now they say it is cmv. It sounds alot like your case. It is very very severe. She started out with vasculitis in her feet, that eventually spread up to all her major organs, including her lungs and brain. they now have her on a antiviral medicine, but she is so swollen in her legs and is very week and can barely walk. she is also having problems with her lungs filling up with fluid. Does this ever go away??
