I am very sorry for your loss. I was tested positive for CMV last march when i was 24 weeks pregnant with my son. Fortunately he was not effected with it. The doctor said they will not know the whole effect of it until he is older but so far he is doing well. The only problem so far that we know of from this virus is that he had to be delivered early because of the placenta was defective at around 36 weeks.I am not the same since i've had this. To this date I still have bad days as though i were going through it all over again. When I first found out that I had it they thought it was mono. But tested positive for the CMV. I found out that it is carried through small children and can be passed through diaper changes and sharing food off plates and glasses. That is all I know.
