Thanks for your post about constipation in children. My 3.5 year old son has had symptoms since about 17 months old. I have tried everything ie. (Babylax enemas, Children's Senokot, Mineral oil (advised by pediatrician). Everything seems to only work temporarily. He still tries to hold his stool as long as possible. It gets embarassing when he is with me while shoppping or other because the gas smells so awful. He has had a barium x-ray of his colon, which revealed nothing. I will try the milk of magnesia solution, along with a current reward system. Thanks again.
