Hello Liz..Personally I feel it is best to speak with your physician about pain during any test..However, you will experience no pain during your Colon exam. You will be given an (IV) directly upon entering the room where your test will take place. A few minutes after the (IV) has been in place, your Doctor will inject medicine into the (IV) and you will immediately go to sleep....You will not be aware of anything until you awake....Hope this is of some help.....Pop
