Had a biopsy done in 1994.Was not the most plesant of experiences. They go in with like a syringe that extricates a tissue from your liver. It is outpatient. You have to stay there for a while after the procedure. I would suggest that you have someone drive you home afterward, just because I was somewhat uncomfortable and had quite a drive home. Good luck
