Your daughter should see a hemotologist, a blood specialist. She might need special supplemental iron. In addition she may be deficient in certain foods in her diet. Also she may need tests to determine whether her bone marrow is capable of making enough red blood cells. Some iron supplements are hard on the digestive system. If you have a cancer center near you, they can usually refer you to a hemotologist, or check with your health insurance if you are in an HMO or "site of service" type of health insurance.
