I am 37 yrs. old and my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 mths. ago. she is 58 yrs. old. My mother's mammography was normal but she felt a lump. I think you should make a list of questions for your mother's doctor. You can also call 1-8004cancer (the american cancer society.) Many hospitals have support groups for patients and their families. Eighty percent of all breast cancer patients do not have a family history of breast cancer. I suggest you go for a mammography for your own piece of mine. I had one done and they did find something suspicious. HOwever they did a biopsy and it was negitive. Most biopsies are negitive. My e-mail address is susanspeec@aol.com. Good luck, Susan
