hello, my sister was diag. with this in March this year.she could not walk or feed herself.this all happen within 2weeks.since that time she is doing fine she was in the University of Chicago, then later transfer to Schwab Rehab. for PT.she was on Medrol, Methotrexate, and was given mega dose of this drug call Gamma Globulin(iv) she could not walk,or etc.But since May of this year she is now almost back a lot of weakness but she is 85%back. she is still taking medrol which is prednisone.schwab was such a good place for her P.T. her CPK levels at the time of diag.was over 75.000 can But we went into a lot of prayer and put God frist along with the Doctors she is doing so good.My prayers are with everyone with this condition because it takes control of your life and your family If i can be of any help or information please e-mail me.
