My husband was diagnose with amyloidosis in Sept.99. By the time they found it his kidneys were gone and now he is on dialysis 4 times aday. In January 2000 he had a stem cell transplant but we found out last week that I did not work. He is went back to work in June after five months off. The doctors here in Indianapolis don't have alot to tell me and I don't know what to expect. But from everything that I read it seem that there isn't much time left even though he is still working. Can any one tell me what to expect? If he will be confind to bed or what will happen? My husband case is the first that they have had here and no one will or can tell me much. I am only 43 and would like to know what my 2 sons and I will be facing. Sometime he seems very weak but he continues to work and says he is find. Please write if you would like to talk about this.
