It depends on what caused your husband's cirrohsis Sometimes it can be halted and even improvement can take place.If alcohol is the reason, and it has not progressed to an advanced stage, then it may be helped. People are under the misconcepton that all cirrohsis is caused by drinking. THAT IS NOT TRUE. I am currently in the advanced stage of cirrohsis and awaiting a transplant @ Johns Hopkins. PLEASE take your husband to a HEPATOGIST in Richmond or Charlottsville.They have very good ones. Good luck
