This past year, I have been experiencing calf muscle pulls and strains as I jog. I stretch out well, take calcium + vitamin D with magnesium as well as potassium tablets. I take 4 of the CALSET (calcium) and 2 tablets of the potassium per day. This should be more than enough to help muscle cramps. I continue to get a sharp pain in my right or left calf while running. Of course I have to stop or I will suffer an actual pulled muscle. This happens in both calf muscles. My calf muscles are very large, as I developed them in high school for track. Im a 43 yr old man with no known heath problems. After I receive this sharp pain, Im sore for about 2 weeks. It does swell a little. Any ideas??
