Hi Jill My name is Pam and we live in Ohio. My husband went on the kidney transplant list in Nov. of 1999. We were told the average wait on the list was 2 1/2 years. Fortunately for us we got the call 7 1/2 months later on June 25, 2000. It was a near perfect match and it came from California. He was on dialysis for a year before the transplant. He has had no signs of rejection and feels the best he has in years. He did come down with CMV last month. They are trying to get it under control so they can activate him on the list for a pancreas.
