I also have had surgery for the same thing. I'm facing my 3rd. in the next few weeks. I also stay in constant pain.I take 7 pills 3 times a day to help ease it off some. But even if I do the simplest things, like going to church, I pay for it the next day. The drs. are hoping that this surgery will help the pain. my left leg goes out from under me sometimes and I have fallen and broke a rib. If you find out any thing better for the pain please let me know. Here is the list of meds I'm on zanaflex, Neurotin, amitriptyline,oxycontin. I found taking a very hot bath eases the pain for awhile. Good luck on your surgery.
