I am 29 yrs old, and have a problem with tight, dry-feeling skin on the "apples" of my cheeks. I have severe pollen, dust/dust mite allergies. I also have had seborrheic dermatitis since age 14. My skin is not oily, except on my forehead. It's hard to say when the problem started. I was prescribed Nizoral cream and Hydrocortisone 1% approx. 3 wks ago for the seborrheic dermatitis, but stopped it approx. 2 wks ago, when it cleared up. It's been a while since I've had smooth skin like I used to. I always seem to have a "texture" of small bumps. When I run my hand over my face, it doesn't feel smooth. The bumps are NOT red, nor are they pimple-like. The tightness is continual, and around the "apples" of my cheeks, around my nose, and under the nose. I have used every moisturizer from Lubriderm to olive oil straight from the bottle. Sometimes I'll have a "good skin week", then get red and inflamed in those areas for no reason at all. My skin is sensitive. Could someone please, kindly, suggest something? I'm writing because now I can't even concentrate on stuff anymore because my face is so uncomfortable. As I write this, I have Vaseline smeared on my face in desperation. It's not helping much. I am a very fair-skinned Black female with freckles. Sorry about the length; any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
