I too have suffered from skin problems all my life. I have excema and during allergy season when everyone else is sneezing and wheezing, I'm scratching my legs and arms until they bleed. My allergist said I have dermographia...I was getting red welt marks from scratching and I guess I've had this all my life but it got worse when I moved to the pacific northwest and my allergies went haywire. Allegra was my savior and reduced the redness and itching. I have also been cursed with an inability to take most anti-histamines, but thank heaven for Allegra. Please do not tell me if long term side affects are unknown...I'll take Allegra until I die. Finally relieved at age 30
