Hi Jodi: I too, had adominal pain over the course of 8 months. I recently had an ultrasound to see if I had fibroids which I did not. In the process the technican decided to look at my gallbladder. She saw gallstones which was the reason for my continual and worsening stomach pain. My understanding is that gallstones are caused by a build up over the years of fats and cholesterol in the gallbladder. Ask your doctor to test you for this. I hope this helps. God Bless you
