My son is 19 and has just been diagnosed with shingles on the left side of his forehead. He plays football in college and the doctor said that the possible stress and body wear down in two a days could have caused his immunity to be down allowing the shingles to accur. He also said that we caught it in the very early stage and gave him some medicine and said it should be cleared up within a couple of weeks. My son was wondering, after what we have read on the internet about shingles, how long will it be before he can play football again or even put his helmet on?
