My sister had the same problem and we finally solved it. You probably have a 1 floor home and tile on a lot of the floors. #1 Put on well cushioned sports shoes on immediately when you get up. As you age, you lose that soft padding on the bottom of your heel. #2 Stand on the edge of a step, facing the inside of the step. Have the back half of the foot off the step. Go up on your toes and stretch, then lower down until your heel is below the step. Do this 8-10 times, several times a day. The muscle in the back of the heel, etc doesnt get stretched like it did when you were doing more steps. Take Ibuprophen 2-3 times a day for a few days to get rid of the inflammation right now. It's like magic!! Good luck!
