Hello. I don 't believe I've replied to your post. I meant to write to you before this. My best friend was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and operated on last summer. In fact we just celebrated the 1 year anniversary last week. Her doctor was pretty vague about it too. The surgical procedure was explained well to her family. Where they really leave you in the dark is what to expect after the surgery. My friend suffered severe headaches before the surgery and was told that the surgery was not necessarily a cure for the headaches. Now she suffers from headaches almost daily, but tries not to mention them. You might try writing to this lady I've corresponded somewhat with. Her e-mail is wstcstpat@aol.com.
