Could you please tell me if your friend that has this disease is only affected orally. My father had a skin disorder called pemphagoid bollus which also affected the entire uper portion of his body in hugh blisters. There was no cure for this. They tried to control with prednisone, but the dosage destroyed his kidneys. He has be gone for almost 7 years now and I have not been able to find any information on it, as to wheather other family members are predisposed or not. I really hope this isn't what your friend has, because it is a miserable disease. If you have any info please let me know Thank you Toni
