So sorry to hear about your mom's condition. I don't know anything about pulmonary fibrosis, but I am almost an expert on prednisone. I have been steriod dependent for almost 3 years. I have almost every side effect it can have. I read an excellent book which helped me to find someone who has experienced some of the same things, even though our underlying diseases are different. I got the book on Amazon.com. It is called Coping With Prednisone by Eugenia Zukerman and Julie Ingelfinger, MD. I refer to it ofter.
