Dear David: I have had tinnitus for over 9 years. I have a chronic tinnitus (high pitched),in both ears that never stops ringing. Here's what helps me. #1. I always listen to waterfalls or other soothing music and never allow myself to be alone without any soothing sounds. #2. One of the best books I have read on tinnitus is titled "Tinnitus: Turning The Volume Down" by Kevin Hogan, this book includes many proven strategies for quieting the noise in my head. #3. Prayer and meditation really helps alot and reading of the holy bible "the words of God is like taking God's medicine. Feel free to e-mail me because I also find that sharing what we are experiencing with someone that actually knows what we go throught helps to in coping. I'd also be interested to hear from you what methods you use to cope.
