My 6 year old son was diagnosed with diabeties insipidus a year ago and there was no apparent reason for it either but I know that there is something that has caused this to happen because he also has reacuring health problems. He can not keep his weight on, unlike yourself who said you have had weight gain. Did the doctors say that the diabeties was caused by the cancer or that it just happened? What antidiruetic drug are you taking? I know that there has to be better ways to balance out this medicine and diet so that there is not so may side effects (such as severe weight lose). I would also be curious to her other peoples stories and why they have been told they have this illness!! DAWN
