Emphysema is definitely a killer. My brother's father-in-law just died from it and also an aunt of mine. My mother has it and it now on oxygen most of the day and several medications. She cannot resume any kind of normal life. I understand once you have it you have it unless you are so bad you are a candidate for lung transplant or another surgery. Good luck.
