Catarct Surgery w/ Two Lens Implants in Same Eye

Joan

Message 1 of 7 Next

I'm in my mid fifties and was diagnosed ten (10) years ago with Macular Degeneration, I was also found to have Cataracts in both eyes. Right eye surgery, with lens implant of -9.50, five yrs ago. Rx is now -10.75 due to retina deteration. My Dr. now wants to correct left eye with a lens implant, -3 is as good as he can correct. With such a difference in eye correction, my eyes will be unable to work together, Dr. wants to put a second lens in right eye to bring it as close to -3 as possible. I'm unsure about having two lenses in one eye. My question is, has anyone had this procedure, or, know of anyone who has? I apprieciate any response. Thank You, JOAN
