I am an adult with this problem from childhood. It doesn't get any better. It may be lactose intolorance or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Both cause a lot of pain when trying to have a bowel movement. I am 35 years old and I am still suffering with these conditions, I have both. Also, try giving high fiber cereals or fiber supplements.
