I have had my orthopedic surgeon tell me that it is so bad in my left knee that if I were 60 or older he would do a total knee replacement now. Instead he is going to try arthroscopic surgery to see if he can patch my knee until I am older.(I am 49 now). I have virtually no cartilage left in the knee and am having a lot of pain and swelling. Has anyone else had this happen? If so did you get relief from the arthroscopic surgery or did you end up with a total knee replacement?
