my son who is 18 and has congenital hydrocephalus has a new complication. it appears that he has a build up of free flowing fluid in his peritineal cavity. the cerebral spinal fluid is not being absorbed into the body. the doctors don't know what to make of this. this was discovered when the shunt was replaced. there has been no change. the symptoms were gagging off and on for months.
