My son however had scabies and it can be very contagious that's probably why they didn't want him in the waiting room. He was prescribed a medicine that is like a cream. You have to cover your whole body (besides face). I believe anyone living with the person also has to use this cream. I can't remember the name of this cream but it is by prescription, you could ask your pharmacist and then talk to the doctor. It really helped him ,we had gotten to a desperate place. It started out as bumps and then more blistery and then started oozing.
