HI, I am the mother of a 22 yr. old spina bifida. Who is now pregant. Do you have any experience in this area? I have been looking for others like her to try to judge how this pregnancy will go for her. But alas we have found no one. She has only had surgerys because of ulcers on her feet. What has popped up that has caused you to have more surgerys? Her defect is at L4-5. What is your level? She does not have a shunt.We realize she is high-risk for pregnancy. but we are still wondering what if any the complications would be? And the doctors are absooulty NO help when it comes to this. As far as I am concerned the stats they like to quote us have always been so far off the mark we don't trust them very much. If we can be of any help do get in contact with us.
