Dawna, I wonder in the book "to Wake in Tears" if she just got a bladder infection from the catheter. Often, from what I've read, an infection treated with antibiotics can oftern be a precursor to IC. I don't know anyone that is completely cured, either. Remission can last a couple years then flare back up. So, you're right about not giving false hope. Keep up the good work. Kara
