I have had this disease now for almost two years. I have also had arteritis which resulted in my Prednisone having to be increased to 60 mg. a day. Then I developed pulmonary emboli and now I am no blood thinners for the rest of my life. It is a very 'hard to handle' disease and I dearly want to get off the Prenisone but I am stuck at 6 mg. a day and I can't seem to handle going down to 5 mg. or lower. They say this disease runs it's course in 2 years. I HOPE SO!
