We are currently suffering through a third episode of headlice since September. It seems every 8 to 12 weeks we have an episode. We successfully (we think) kill the lice and remove the nits over a three to four week period. We have used Nix, mayonaise, and butter. I prefer using the natural remedies and now I understand olive oil is the treatment of choice. My question is why do the lice return so frequently? Are we not removing all the nits after each episode? I clean the house and my daughters rooms quite thoroughly and we have dryed every non-moving object in my houshold. I am looking for any ideas and/or comments. Help!!!
