Lori: If you have not yet told your doctor of your symptoms ans that your mother has mvp, you need to. i have mvp, and i also have every symptom. i am now taking a medication called toprol, that helps to slow my heart rate down, and help lower my blood pressure. i feel a lot better, the only thing with mvp is that if you have dental procedures or surgery done you have to get on antibiotics first. please talk to your doctor, tell him or her that it runs in your family. please let me know what you find out. if it is mvp i can tell you of web sites and support groups that are available. goo luck stacy massey
