Hi, I have been diagnosis with thrombocytopenia (ITP) and my blood platelets are low. It effects your immune system and the if you bleed you must be careful because you could start to bleed intenally.I just had a heart problem and had to have a couple of stints put in and ended up my platelets dropped down to like 4000, they had to give me a platelet transfusion. Ann, high platelets may be something else.
