My mother died in 1996 from IPF. I understand there are different degrees of this disease. She also had a cousin that died from this disease. I read in the library that there are 188 different kinds of this disease. I wish I knew more about it. I was told there is one known genetic kind of this disease. My brother has developed adult onset asthma, and I wonder if this is just the beginning of the disease for him. I also have a nephew that has cysitic fibrosis. IPF seems like an adult form of this disease. The cough sounds the same. The sticky mucus is very similar. If you know more, please let me know.
