I cannot give you a great deal of info regarding FMD, but have found bits and pieces on the net under full name. My fourteen year old daughter was diagnosed with FMD in 1994 and has had bypasses of both left and right carotid arteries. She now suffers most deficits associated with an acquired brain injury. Mainly the frontal lobe is affected and I have posted another message hoping someone can help me. You may or may not know that Moya Moya syndrome can cause FMD and even though this is not the case with my daughter, it has some interesting reading and can lead you to other sites. I too would like to know the long term prognosis of this disease and would be interested in any information you may have. Hope this is of some help.
