One of the new drugs is called GAMZAR. My mother was treated with it during the first 6 months after diagnosis of pancreatic cancer which also spread to her liver. It was wonderful in that it helped to keep the cancer cells from growing, many of them shrunk, and there were no side effects. She felt wonderful and continued to work throughout treatment. After 6 mos. it stopped working and is now on a more traditional chemo, 5FU. It has now been 8 1/2 mos. since diagnosis. She is now showing signs of being ill. I just heard of another breakthrough in cancer treatment called C225. They've had remarkable results treating colon cancer and other cancers that have spread to the liver. I'm in the process of inquiring about this drug for my mother.
